About

Toyota EHAT

Overview:

Beyond donating dollars, Toyota applies a holistic approach to improve access to opportunity, engaging internal resources like Toyota business partnering groups (BPGS) and coordinating local and national non-profits to collectively address community needs. Toyota and LNESC have partnered to provide a community computer lab to provide access to basic computing, technology, and online educational courses.

Mission

LULAC’s Empower Hispanic America with Technology project creates positive exchange in Hispanic communities by providing access to state-of-the-art computer technology to narrow the digital divide. The project empowers Latinos with access to highspeed Internet with the training and tools in order to do school work, college and financial aid searches, job training, job inquiries, money management, English language courses, and citizenship preparation courses.

Programs Description

As technology advances, opportunities abound. Today, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers continue to significantly outpace non-STEM jobs in growth and earnings. However, African-Americans, Hispanics and women are significantly underrepresented in STEM fields. Together LNESC and Toyota are working to change that reality.
